 Making new friends as an adult is hard. We’re making it easier—with a night of fast-paced, low-pressure fun to help you meet like-minded people in your city.

Whether you're new to town, feeling a bit lonely, or just craving some quality friend vibes—you'll rotate through mini convos with other friendly humans in a cozy, playful setting.

Create a Friend Speed Dating Profile

Making friends as an adult can be weird and awkward. This isn’t.

Before each Friend Speed Dating event, you’ll fill out a simple, fun profile to help me learn a bit about you—what kind of connections you’re looking for, what you’re into, and who you vibe best with.

These events are thoughtfully designed to connect people who are genuinely looking for new friendships—no romantic pressure, just good conversation and shared laughs with people who get it.

There’s no perfect science to friend chemistry, but I do my best to make the night feel comfortable, intentional, and full of possibility.

Friend Speed Dating F.A.Q

Q: How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the venue, but most Speed Dating events range between $30–$40. This includes all craft materials and the event itself.

Q: Is food or drink included?
No — but each venue will have a "snacks and sips" menu available. You’re welcome to order drinks or bites throughout the event.

Q: Do you screen participants?
No, we don’t vet attendees — but respect is non-negotiable.
If someone makes you feel uncomfortable at any point, please let a staff member know immediately. Anyone being creepy, rude, or harassing others will be asked to leave and banned from future events.
You may not click with everyone, and that’s normal — but everyone is expected to be kind, respectful, and there in good faith.

Q: How does it work?

Without giving too much away — it’s a round-based format.
You’ll have 5-minute mini “dates” with each participant. During those minutes, you’ll work on a super simple craft activity together — something lighthearted to take the pressure off and help conversation flow naturally.

At the end of each mini date, you’ll privately jot down whether you’d like to exchange contact info with that person.

No awkward on-the-spot rejections here — just good vibes and easy connections.

At the end of the night, everyone submits their yes/no cards. If there’s a match, we’ll reach out the next day with all the details — so you can skip the guesswork and just look forward to connecting again.

Q: Do I have to be good at crafting?
Not at all! The crafts are easy, silly, and just meant to get you talking and laughing. No skills, no judgment — just vibes.

Q: Is this only for women?

Nope! Smiley Days is for everyone.
We’re all about inclusive joy and creating events where everybody feels welcome and comfortable—regardless of gender, identity, or background.

When you fill out our quick friend dating profile, you’ll have the option to indicate who you’re looking to connect with—whether that’s:

  • Women

  • Men

  • Non-binary folks

  • A mix of all

  • No preference

Some events will be open to all, others will focus on specific communities—it all depends on interest. If enough people want it, we’ll make it happen!
